The highly anticipated third edition of Chichibu On the Way is a remarkable series that paves the path towards the first 10-year-old core range product from Chichibu distillery. This particular bottle, one out of a limited release of 11000, is a testament to the distillery's commitment to crafting exceptional whiskies.

The Chichibu On the Way series has captured the attention of whisky enthusiasts since its inception. The first edition, released in 2013, showcased a vatting of casks aged between 3 and 5 years old, offering a glimpse into the early stages of Chichibu's maturation journey. The second edition, launched in 2015, featured casks aged between 5 and 7 years old, further highlighting the progression and development of Chichibu whiskies.

Now, with the Chichibu On the Way 2019 edition, we enter a new phase in this captivating series. This vatting consists of 52 carefully selected casks, holding whisky that was aged between 7 and 10 years old. These casks primarily comprise bourbon casks, which contribute to the whisky's rich and nuanced flavor profile. Additionally, some Chibidaru casks, 250-litre Mizunara casks, and a small number of peated whisky casks have been included, adding further complexity and depth to the expression.
